How to Request Account Deletion

In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The easiest way to delete your account is directly from the Spotlr app:

  1. Open the Spotlr app on your device
  2. Tap the Profile tab
  3. Tap Account Settings
  4. Tap Account Management to expand the section
  5. Tap Delete Account
  6. Review what will be deleted and confirm
  7. Your account will be scheduled for deletion in 30 days
  8. You can cancel anytime before the scheduled date

Email Request (Alternative)

If you cannot access the app, request deletion via email:

Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject and your account email in the message.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:

User account and profile
All saved spots and locations
All photos and notes
All reminders and notifications
Shared spot links
Subscription information
Usage statistics
Preferences and settings

Deletion Process & Timeline

Scheduled Deletion: Your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days after your request.

Cancellation Period: You can cancel the deletion anytime before the scheduled date.

Permanent Deletion: After 30 days, all your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Why 30 days? This gives you time to export data, cancel if you change your mind, and ensure you have backups of important information.

Important Warning

Once the 30-day period expires, your account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be lost forever. Please ensure you have exported any information you need before the deletion date.
