AI and Third-Party Services

Privacy-First AI: When generating AI insights and recommendations, we only share anonymized statistics (such as category counts and photo coverage percentages) with AI services. We never share your actual addresses, GPS coordinates, or personally identifiable location data.

AI Photo Analysis (OpenAI)

When you use our AI-powered spot creator, you will be asked for consent before any photo is processed. Here is what happens:

• Your Consent Required: A privacy disclosure appears before any photo is sent
• Sent to OpenAI: Photos are sent to OpenAI's API for analysis only
• 30-Day Retention: OpenAI stores photos for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring
• Not Used for Training: Your photos are NOT used to train AI models
• Not Stored by Us: We do NOT store AI-analyzed photos in our database
• Deleted After Processing: Photos are only used for analysis, then discarded
• You Can Decline: You can opt-out and use manual spot creation instead

What We Store: Only the AI-generated suggestions (title, category, description) are saved to your account. The photo itself is never stored unless you manually add it after creating the spot.

Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption
• We use Supabase for secure cloud storage
• Location data is stored only for spots you explicitly save
• We implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data
• Opt-out of location tracking
• Withdraw consent at any time

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information.
